Ten easy points if you can figure out this one!!

Okay so I have a silver Casio Exilim Z100, and recently i've had a problem. When I connect the usb to the camera it won't register with iphoto and I can't import the photos.

Originally I thought it was the usb, but i have two and neither worked. Then I thought it was the camera, so I tried putting the memory card in another camera (a Canon) but it said 'memory card error'.

So I figured then that the memory card just wouldn't work with the Canon. But then I tried putting the Canon's memory card in my Casio-and when i connected it to the usb it registered on my iphoto...

So im guessing it the memory card...

what could be the problem?? I really need the photos ASAP. what should i do??

|||Its probably because your camera has to be detected in different mode. Do you see any USB settings, try changing them.

Cheers.. Nilesh|||did you try putting you memory card into the slot in the computer that's for it? in can fit almost any type of memory card.|||Buy yourself a card reader and your problems will be solved. Not all cameras are read by computers. Your computer has a list of pre-installed camera drivers but not all.

OMG! A New Camera!!!?

Canon lovers, are you as excited as I am?

If you haven't seen it yet, check out Canon's newest camera, the EOS 5D Mark II

Now where am I going to get $2700 from? %26lt;--- LOL, you don't have to answer that!

What are your thoughts on this new camera?|||Well, we won't really know for sure until we have it in our hands... until then, we'll just have to look at its reviews.

When will it be coming out in stores?|||It really isn't a "new" camera. Its an updated version of the 5D first released about 2 years ago.|||Horay? its a camera.... you dont even need 21.1 megapixels anyway, no one does. Just get a 15 for 2000 dollars cheaper

Plz mention my mistakes?

but it doesn't really make sense, you need to look at your grammar too.|||If you are not smart enough to use spell check then I am not going to help you on grammar.

What is the best printer for postcards?

I'm looking for a postcard printer for home and very small business use. It doesn't need to be the fastest one, but I wouldn't want to buy ink every 10 postcards.

I'm ready to pay up to $200 for it.

I have been looking for Canon's Selphy series, but are they any good?

I know that there are these huge office versions that would do this faster and better and I have to admit those are sweet...

but I just don't have the cash nor need for those.|||I can't say about the Canon Selphy but Canon printers are general very good. I have two and they are really good. I have the MP220 and the MP 610. I have had HP, Epson (which I would never buy again), Lexmark and Canon. Canon is for me the printer maker of choice, with HP being second.

I agree about having a warranty as at least then you know that for a year it has to work and if it does not you haven't got to pay to have it fixed. Buying used is good as long as it lasts but if not its false economy so its taking a risk in the long run.|||HP 800 series printers don't take up a lot of space and you can get a used or refurbished one and it will run almost forever. As for the ink go to www.printpal.com Save money on the cartridges and you order online and they come to your mailbox. I have an 810 and a 812.

One is the back up if needed. My son pulls parts from other ones and puts them back together again. I paid one dollar for 810 and $25.00 for the 812 on Ebay. I have what I need and I work mine to death. I have had the one new in 1998. It was totally squashed by a truck when moving. It was 9 years old and ran till that day. These printers do most of my clock faces.

Which camera gets the clearest pictures, from what I heard it all about the lens?

Which camera gets the clearest pictures, from what I heard it all about the lens? I have mostly owned canon鈥檚 and love them. Currently have the SD series 7.1mp and it still takes great pictures..

However, it time for a 2nd camera and I don鈥檛 know which one to get. I heard the bigger the lens the better picture it takes and that megapixel aren鈥檛 that big a deal as compared to the lens you get.

Is this true the bigger the lens the clear the picture? I know SLR鈥檚 are the best ones to get. However, I don鈥檛 have $700 to spend for a nice canon. I would like to spend $200 on a camera that takes clear pictures. I don鈥檛 care about the mega pixel or size of the camera. I would like them to have a rechargeable battery not that AA nonsense. Please advice.|||No, the size of the lens does not determine the sharpness of the pictures. The quality of the lens is very influential. For instance, I have a 70-300mm Tamron lens that takes ok pix, but my buddy has a 70-300mm Nikkor lens that takes excellent pix; this assumes the same camera and photographer. Other factors include the sensor and the photographer.

You're right, mega pixel (MP) has little to do with picture sharpness or clarity. It does determine the resolution of the pic, which can affect the sharpness of details. That said, your screen is only going to show about 2MP, regardless of the pic. A 4x6 print can use about 9MP for excellent quality, but I have made perfectly usable 4x6 pix with my old 1.8MP camera.

Canon makes several models that fit your budget and you will find that they will take quite clear pix. I think you would be pleased with the Canon PowerShot SX130IS. Also look at the Nikon Coolpix L110. Both cameras have vibration reduction which helps prevent blurry pix from camera shake.

As for AA batteries, you can get rechargeable ones and they are easily replaced in an emergency, but I believe that both of these cameras use the rechargeable Li-Ion batteries that I think you are looking for.

Finally, if your current camera still takes great pictures, why are you replacing it? Why not keep using it until it doesn't do something that you want it to do? Save you money for that DSLR that you really want.|||Well what you'd like to spend - you won't like what you get.

Trust me you're correct, dslr cameras are the best for any kind of photography. I have two Canon dslr cameras, the Rebel XS and the eos t1i. I also use a Canon 28-200 lens that is very sharp, quick and accurate. The XS and 28 package is about $1,000 - a far cry from $200. Perhaps you'd better up your budget if you hope to get this type of camera and a good lens to go with it.|||Yes. A good quality lens does have an advantage but overall, it's the person behind the camera that dictates picture quality. The camera is just a tool.

What's a good compact, point and shoot camera?

I'm looking for a replacement for my Canon S40 and haven't a clue as to where to start. I'm looking for something that has a good sized LCD display on the back. The one I have is a 1.5 inch LCD display. I'm looking for something in the 7-8 megapixel range. And a camera with all the bells and whistles like Auto focus, red eye reducer, etc. I hear Canon's are pretty good however I'm not too savvy with the digital cameras so I'm not sure if a Kodak or Sony Cybershot would be better. |||I would recommend Canon SD1100 IS.

- 8 megapixels

- image stabilization

- 2.5" LCD

- 3x zoom

|||Canon is best, look at their SD series if you want another compact, they will have everything you are looking for. Sony makes good televisions. Kodak isn't good enough to be in this discussion. I have had all three. Still have 4 Canons, gave away the Sony. Couldn't give away the Kodak so it went to the electronic recyclers. BTW, Casio makes good watches.|||Sony Cybershot DSCT300

10.1-megapixel Super HAD CCD captures enough detail for photo-quality poster-size prints

Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom lens; Smart Zoom feature

3.5-inch widescreen Clear Photo LCD Plus display; Face Detection

Intelligent Scene Recognition; HDTV compatibility

15 MB internal memory; capture images to Memory Stick Duo/Pro Duo media

Price: $307.52

reference : http://astore.amazon.com/cheap.shopp-20/鈥?/a>|||i have a 7.2 megapixel, Casio Exlim and their great cameras. mine is discontinued but im sure you can find a good deal on one at best buy. just keep checking out their sales.|||I'd stick with Canon if that's what your used to. Take a look at this popular model :http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Ca鈥?/a>|||Take a look at the Canon A-590IS. Best under $200 camera IMHO.

What if my camera has dead pixels in the sensor?

Whenever I take long exposures (the longer the worse) I get a Red and Blue dead (or hot) pixels in my photos... I've only had my camera (Canon Rebel XSI) for only a month and I have it registered under Canon's 1 year warranty. Should I send it in for repair? I tried cleaning the sensor and that didn't work... so what do you guys think? Thanks. |||DSLR cameras and some others come with a feature called pixel mapping. This is a process that can be used to help alleviate problems like the one you are having now. Check your manual on how to run this with your camera. The companies use differing techniques, the result should be the same, no more dead pixels in your images. |||I think your sensor is dirty. A speck of dust will cause those symptoms.|||I have just noticed the problem on my 40D. It is NOT dust. Dust you cant see in the dark. You can send it back to canon, or you can map it. Set the lens cap on it, do a "manual sensor cleaning" for 30 seconds and it should map it out and not show up anymore. Ive done that and i can still see it when i'm viewing it in DPP but no other program will see it.
